Beside beacon’s privacy issue, Facebook’s collaboration with ABC News had stirred up a lot of discussion and demonstrated a new model of news reporting through social network. ABC News started this trial by having it’s political reporters setup facebook accounts, so that readers can follow their coverage on political news by facebook as a new media.
In another news, Li Ka-shing invested $60 million on facebook through his foundation. It looks really weird for me because these kind of new technology business are neither well-known or accepted in Hong Kong. Does it have anything to do with the IPO of Alibaba? Will there be more and more local investment to local Web 2.0 company?
