!!!! Police arrested 4 more people for the “photos”~ !!!!!
Few points really made me angry~ how dare they say these:
- The Chief Police Officer said it is illegal for anyone to own even just one of those photos. But please be specific Mr. Tang, which law are you talking about? Why don’t you charge every news agency for that? I bet they must have own that photo? What about those who received it from email? or accidentally downloaded it?
- The people are currently charged in the law of “Prohibition on publishing obscene articles”. The law states that if the defendant “had no reasonable opportunity to inspect the article the subject of the charge” or “had reasonable grounds for believing that article was not obscene” , then it can be a defense to the charge. So tell me, who said those photos are obscene? What if somedays later they were categorized as Class III? And for something so uncertain, how can the court give such a large power to police to imprison the defendant for 8 WEEKS!!!
- And it is still the old question — WHY WE HAVE SUCH A UNJUSTIFIED LAW LIKE “Control of Obscene And Indecent Articles Ordinance” in HONG KONG?
