My First Mac Product Casulty - Mighty Mouse

February 5th, 2008 · No Comments

Hmm, I’m really happy and satisfied with my MacBook Pro compared with previous notebook experience (I previously owned IBM, Dell and HP notebook), but sometime Apple is not really keeping their standard — the Mighty Mouse, in my experience, is just not so mighty.

What Mighty Mouse did right:

  • Beautiful, white color design, match the elegant feeling of Mac Products
  • Bluetooth Mouse without any receiver make it perfect for traveling
  • The “squeeze” buttons is good to provide extra functionality without making the mouse looks like a weird machine with 5 buttons on it.

What Mighty Mouse did wrong:

  • The scroll ball just not working! I and my friends keep having trouble with the scrollbar!!!! Now I can’t scroll in upward direction, even after I tried Apple Support’s instruction of cleaning it…
  • Not sensitive enough for any gaming (Try to play Rainbow 6 with it)
  • You can’t press right and left button at the same time (This is really trouble for playing game — again)
  • And sometime, the mouse just can’t identify weather you are clicking on left or right button…
